Anne
Anne first found yoga for purely physical reasons, but soon discovered many more amazing benefits besides the physical ones. After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1997, Anne moved to Colorado to spend time skiing (and working a bit) in Vail. In Vail, Anne found yoga to be such an amazing compliment to her daily skiing, helping her stretch and strengthen her muscles, improve her balance, as well as help her move into a deeper discovery of her mind and spirit through meditation and breathing.
In 1998, Anne moved to Denver and soon discovered heated yoga and eventually decided to take her practice to new heights. She completed an intensive and contemplative teacher training with one of her yoga instructors, the president of Rocky Mountain Yoga Alliance, Hansa Knox and became certified in Hatha Yoga in 2002. Anne’s most profound training and practicing has been with Baron Baptiste. She reached breakthroughs that so positively impacted her life, she felt it was truly her journey to help others do the same. Anne completed Baron’s highest level of training for Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga in September of 2005. She has had the great opportunity to assist Baron at the Yoga Journal Conferences in Estes Park and is currently a certified teacher with the Baron Baptiste Yoga Institute. Anne’s additional certifications include pre & postnatal yoga and fitness, kids yoga, and restorative yoga.
Anne enjoys teaching workshops and yoga intensives, like her Power Yoga Ski Boot camp. A mountain enthusiast and mother of four young girls, she uses yoga to keep her mind, body, and spirit in balanced and peak condition. Anne has depended on yoga through all her pregnancies and thinks it is the most beneficial thing she can do, especially in her recent pregnancy with her twin girls. She also enjoys teaching yoga in her daughters’ classes in school, educating kids and their teachers the fun and wonderful benefits of yoga.
Anne looks forward to seizing the day by challenging herself, her teaching, and her practice as well as learning as much as she can from her yoga students. Teaching classes, privates, workshops, and yoga intensives allows Anne to pursue her passion to open her students up to their own yoga journey and positively impact their life, physically, psychologically, and spiritually.
